I love logic. I really do.

Richard Dawkins (my personal hero) explains quite well how people in general draw illogical conclusions about things they don’t understand nor want to understand. Scroll to 8:00 for the part i mean.

This is of course the illogical conclusions Mr. Hedi Bel Habib draws in his article at newsmill.se. Translation here. What i mean is this, if you use the same ordered list Dawkins use:

  1. We have phenomenon A and B.
  2. Phenomenon A criticize religion.
  3. Phenomenon B does not criticize religion.
  4. I don’t understand how A can change anything regarding religion X.
  5. Therefore phenomenon B is the right thing to do.

And for the record if anyone has missed it… religion is in fact a political tool. Read the disturbing news what religion does on the political scene here and here (swedish). I give my full support to people like Ayaan Hirsi Ali. Read this article regarding her criticism of Islam.
